PORCELAIN VENEERS | WHITENING | CONTOURING
Porcelain Veneers are essentially thin shells of ceramic that bond directly to the surfaces of your teeth. They are not only cosmetically beautiful, but in some cases can actually eliminate the need for a dental crown, prevent cavities, straighten teeth, and prevent staining. There’s no one right solution for everybody because different patients have different issues going on in their mouth. That’s what makes it so important to see a talented and skilled MINT dentist. We’ll work with you to design the most brilliant smile at the most affordable cost. Our state-of-the-art technology and artistic flair can give you a beautiful, permanently white smile!
When should I use Porcelain Veneers?
Veneers are the right choice for a person whose teeth may be short, crooked, or badly stained. Really, if your teeth are anything less than perfect, veneers will help. They are also a much faster fix than braces for straightening teeth, and you get the advantage of customizing your teeth to your wishes, for sometimes less money than braces. We recognize veneers are a luxury item, but they will be worth every penny. A confident smile is the best gift you could ever give yourself or anyone else.
Why use MINT?
“Cosmetic Veneers” is what put MINT dentistry and Dr. Harrison on the map. MINT Veneers look totally natural, sexy, and perfect. Dr. Harrison created a surgical technique that dramatically shortens the time it takes to heal from teeth lengthening gum surgery in conjunction with veneers minimizing recovery from 8 weeks to a couple of days (with pain significantly reduced). He has also taught this technique to all MINT Dentists. MINT Dentists are continually asked to lecture for the International Academy of Elite Cosmetic Dentistry.
Also the “Porcelain” of our veneers has changed dramatically over the last 5 years. MINT dentistry uses a new type of porcelain (E-MAX) that is significantly stronger than the porcelain that has a reputation of chipping. In fact, MINT dentists note they have yet to see one anterior chip or crack since switching to it. Indeed because of our continual effort to improve the practice of dentistry, MINT dentistry was also one of the first dental practices to introduce E-MAX Porcelain to the industry. MINT dentistry dentists are so experienced with cutting edge veneers they now advise dental school students how to use and install E-MAX veneers.
Tooth reshaping or dental contouring is a cosmetic dentistry procedure that deals with subtle changes to the teeth. Because sometimes little changes can make a big difference.
Imperfections or problems like slightly overlapping or irregularly shaped teeth, tiny chips in the teeth, or excessively pointy teeth on the side of your mouth can often be fixed with a little tooth reshaping and dental contouring. Also dental contouring can improve overall dental health by removing crevices or overlaps between teeth in which plaque or tartar can accumulate
What is Dental Contouring?
Tooth reshaping, also called dental contouring, is a cosmetic dentistry technique that removes small amounts of tooth enamel (the outer covering of the tooth) in order to change the shape, length, or surface of one or more teeth. Sometimes just a few millimeters of reduction in the right places can dramatically improve the appearance of teeth. The process is often combined with bonding, a cosmetic dentistry treatment that uses tooth-colored composite material to sculpt and shape the teeth. Dental contouring is considered a very conservative approach to changing the appearance of your teeth.
Why use MINT?
Simply put, MINT’s cosmetic dentists are artists. They were selected for their skill, and then rigorously trained to meet MINT’s ultra high standards. Because dental contouring requires a sanding instrument to sculpt your teeth and then a delicate touch to contour the sides of the teeth, you want the highest trained dentist to perform that procedure. Our dentists do dental contouring everyday saving our patients sometimes thousands of dollars in future cosmetic dentistry. And they are so skilled no anesthesia is needed.
