Root Canal Therapy

MINT dentistry is a highly advanced, premier dental facility that provides comprehensive and compassionate care for a wide variety of complex conditions. Our goal is to help you achieve a gorgeous smile you feel confident flaunting, which starts with good oral health. The board-certified doctors and dental professionals at MINT dentistry recommend root canal therapy for the treatment of severely decayed teeth in situations where a dental filling is no longer a viable option. Also known as endodontic treatment, root canal therapy treats the infected tooth, preventing decay from spreading to other teeth and in most cases, preventing the need for tooth extraction. The MINT dentistry team is aware of the fear that sometimes accompanies these types of procedures. However, we want you to rest assured that we will prioritize your comfort and care by utilizing state-of-the-art technology and cutting-edge techniques to complete your therapy with precision and accuracy. Our office also offers sedation dentistry to help ease fears and anxiety and help you relax during your procedure. We invite you to schedule a consultation at MINT dentistry to learn more about root canal therapy.

An infection in the pulp of a tooth can be caused by a deep crack, a cavity, or physical trauma. Some of the most common signs that you may have an infected tooth (and need to seek treatment) are tooth or jaw pain, swelling or discoloration of the gums (around the affected tooth), and changes in the color of the tooth. If the infected pulp is not removed, it will become increasingly painful as the infection spreads to other parts of your mouth. A root canal addresses the infection and stops it from spreading to other teeth or your blood stream.

I came to get a second opinion here...and I love this place. This place is pretty amazing. They work with you when it come to prices & making payments. They even offer dental insurance. I have my own, and they are in my network. The staff really does their best to make you feel at ease with their really down-to-earth personalities and weren't hesitant to answer all and Any questions. They make you feel welcomed and cared for. They even call you after the procedures to check in your healing progress!!! They offer music of your choosing to relax to, and even TV. The staff is always kind and welcoming. I was able to get half my teeth a deep cleaning the same day I came in to visit. (I haven't had one ever. So that was an experience 😳 but pretty pain free), and I still need to get the other half another day (because that's how my insurance works. Thank God though cus I don't think I could have handled my whole mouth.lol plus this way I got to see the big difference and miss Laura the hygienist sure is thorough!) Soon I'll be able to get a root canal, filling and my first porcelain crown ever. Plus fill in a few cavities. I was nervous about the whole dental plan, at first, but the Dentist, the manager and the assistants have really made me feel cared for. I loved how the Dentist's first question was 'what did I needed/wanted. What were my concerns'!😊 Instead of being so impersonal, just checking me, and jump into telling me what I "need." (Like a bridge that I don't need or want. Which is what my first opinion did.) Looks like I'll be visiting Mint for the next couple of weeks, and it'll be worth it. They are now my primary go-to-Dentist. ******UPDATE: Don't get too attached to the staff...they change a lot....not sure why....so be kind. I'm just thankful my dentist is still the same person. Please like my review if it has helped you.

Just wanted to say that everyone at this Mint location is so nice. Dr. Fisher and Abraham have been working on a tooth of mine (root canal, temporary, crown) and all went so well. They are both gentle and made sure I was happy with the results.

Professional !! Had a root canal(and unexpected filing) done today , and when they schedule for a certain time, BE ON TIME! From the Drs to the dental assistants, they are friendly and they work faster than Flamingo Dancers ! I was scheduled at 12:30 but the pain was getting worse so I was bumped to 8am. Was done by 12. Heard about Mint Dentistry on Power 107.9 Portia Bruner and I dont regret giving them a try .

I cannot give Dr Miller enough praise in handling me and my situation at the dentist office. He was understanding and and helpful and explaining the procedure I had to undergo and it was quick and painless as it has not always been the case while getting a procedure such as a root canal. I would encourage everyone that has worries or anxiety to put their trust here. Extremely grateful.

Your root canal therapy appointment will begin with you settling into one of our treatment chairs, where you will be given a pair of our MINT dentistry sunglasses and offered a pair of our Beats headphones. We want you to feel at ease and relaxed while you undergo treatment, so the MINT dentistry team will help you choose the most effective and appropriate type of sedation for your root canal therapy. Many patients request nitrous oxide (laughing gas) or oral-conscious sedation to help them remain comfortable during a root canal.

During an endodontic procedure, one of our board-certified dentists will assess the inner chamber of your tooth and then carefully remove the infected pulp utilizing state-of-the-art tools and techniques. From there, the inside of the empty chamber will be thoroughly sterilized to remove any lingering debris. Once the tooth is cleaned, it will be filled with a special material to seal and protect the tooth. In most cases, a custom-made crown will be placed over the treated tooth to protect it.

Depending on what sedation was used, you may need to have a responsible adult take you home after your procedure. Your mouth may feel sensitive or swollen, but this should not last more than a few days and your doctor may prescribe a pain reliever. You should schedule a follow-up appointment for six months after your root canal. Our team will check to make sure the infection is gone and that your mouth has healed. After that, you should continue to schedule annual dental exams and bi-annual cleanings to maintain your dental health.
