Dental Implants

An effective and long-term solution to replace a missing tooth or teeth for a gorgeous smile is dental implants. MINT dentistry is excited to offer these custom-made, beautiful restorations for our patients to help them achieve a sexy, radiant smile that function and feel like natural teeth. A dental implant is a metal post that is surgically placed in your gums and jawbone (by one of our board-certified oral surgeons) to replace the natural tooth root. This post(s) can then be attached to a crown, bridge, or dentures for a restoration that looks natural and can be treated just like your own teeth. If you have a missing tooth or teeth, schedule a consultation at MINT dentistry today. During this appointment at our state-of-the-art dental facility, you will get to know more about MINT dentistry’s mission to help our patients achieve their aesthetic goals while maintaining ideal oral health.

All-On-4® Dental Implants

All-on-4® dental implants, manufactured by Nobel Biocare®, offer a comprehensive way to permanently secure dentures for a full-arch restoration. This process works by inserting the screws (dental implants) into four areas on each arch. Compared to other implant dentures, All-on-4® uses fewer posts for a secure fit. The MINT dentistry team recommends All-on-4® implants for patients who are looking for a fully restored smile without the hassle or the dietary restrictions that come with removable dentures. Many MINT patients have reaped the benefits of the ground-breaking All-on-4® procedure, enjoying high-quality results. If you're interested in finding out more about All-on-4® implants and custom dentures, we invite you to schedule an appointment at MINT dentistry.

MINT dentistry professionals often use an implant-supported crown, bridge, or denture to replace a missing tooth or teeth. You may be an ideal candidate for a dental implant or All-on-4® implants if you currently have one or more traditional dental restorations but are unhappy with the way they look or feel. During your dental implant consultation at MINT dentistry, our skilled team will examine your gums and jawbone to determine if a dental implant will help you achieve your goal smile. You may not be a candidate for dental implants if you suffer from gum disease, use tobacco, or are currently pregnant.

I’ve been researching dental implants for over 10 months. Spoke and met with many, with total disappointment with “surprise” additional charges! I have to say that Dr Ellis and his staff are true professionals. From my initial phone call with Ms.Taylor to discussing the procedure, the no nonsense all inclusive pricing, and the process details with Dr Ellis, I experienced their dedication and attention to my concerns first hand. Can’t wait to get my new smile in a few weeks. 👍 10/27 UPDATEi I had my procedure done today! All teeth (upper) removed and had 5 implants and temp dentures installed while the gums heal! I had serious issues about going under and especially the “after pain” during the recovery process (I had read horror stories). This was the easiest and less painful dental experience ever. The staff was there with me throughout the procedure! After, had some minor swelling and discomfort for about an hour and a half. Picked up their prescription painkillers at CVS and to my surprise, No pain after that, I mean zero pain at all? I was waiting for the brutal pain to hit, and nothing. All my pain concerns were for nothing. These folks deserve 10 stars 👍👍

WOW!!!!! This was definitely an experience. I went in honestly to get my tooth pulled but I asked about further treatment because I eventually wanted to transition to All-on-4( full dentures). They talked me off that ledge quick lol. We came up with the perfect treatment plan for me and it includes veneers( been wanting them since I was 8)!!!! 10/10 WILL RECOMMEND!!!!

This is the best dental office. I met with the lead dentist, Dr. Patel. She made me feel comfortable and explained every step of my implants. If you come ask for her! Her team, Patsy, Bianca,Erika are very nice and gentle!

First I want to start with I am a huge ball of anxiety when it comes to dental work in general, like blood pressure is high, pulse high, will avoid at all costs! I was referred to Pure Oral surgery by Mint dentistry, for a tooth extraction x 2. One that had been recently bothering me and one that has been a source of anxiety for the last 5 years. I have had two other dentists attempt to remove that bothersome tooth and both unable to get it numb, due to a chronic infection and I’m sure the level of anxiety surrounding it. Today I arrived and was greeted by their receptionist who was friendly and pleasant, wait to be seen was minimal and started with the usual X-rays and an MRI so they could see what they were working with. Met with Dr.Carmichael who was amazing, made me feel informed about my choices for the two teeth that were bothering me as well as gave me options for having implants on down the line, he used science and evidence based practice to explain in a way I understood. Once back in the surgery seat it was all pretty simple. Last thing I remember is closing my eyes and taking a deep breath. Once finished I was wheeled out to my family and car, loaded with post op instructions and a bag of helpful supplies. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing extensive work done or just an anxiety ball that needs to be sedated to have the work done. If I could have given more than 5 stars I would have. Will be returning when I am healed and ready for the next steps of my treatment plan.

Before your dental implant appointment is scheduled, our team will make sure you do not need gum or bone grafts. If it is determined that you do, those procedures will be performed beforehand. Once your mouth is ready for implants, we will schedule your first appointment to begin the process. Prior to your procedure, a member of our team will help you to fully relax in one of our massaging treatment chairs, where you will be given a pair of MINT sunglasses and offered Beats headphones so you can enjoy your favorite music. Next, your anesthesia or sedation will be administered. Then, one of our board-certified oral surgeons will make an incision in your gums and place the titanium post into your jawbone. This process will be repeated if more than one implant is needed. The gums will then be closed around the implant, leaving the post visible above the gumline. Over the next few months, the implant will begin to integrate with the bone and gum. During this time, a temporary restoration will be used to protect the post. Once your mouth has healed, our team will attach your custom restoration to the post(s), revealing a gorgeous new smile.

Because of the nature of the surgery, you should expect a bit of swelling in your gums and face along with possible bruising, discomfort, and minor bleeding following your dental implant procedure. A certain degree of these symptoms is completely normal, but severe or prolonged symptoms should be reported to our office. Our team may prescribe pain medications and antibiotics along with detailed aftercare instructions, including what activities to avoid, to help you recover smoothly. Once your implant(s) has healed and your custom restoration has been attached, you should follow a good home oral care routine, including daily brushing and flossing. Follow-up appointments to check your progress will be scheduled. MINT dentistry highly recommends the continued scheduling of dental examinations and cleanings so that we can help you keep your restorations gorgeous for a lifetime.
