Traditional Metal Braces

With state-of-the-art dental technology and countless advances in the orthodontic industry, traditional metal braces are more comfortable and affordable than ever. MINT dentistry offers a wide variety of orthodontic treatments to cater to the needs of our many patients to help them obtain the beautiful smile they long for. Conventional braces offer unique customizations that aren't always possible with other orthodontic options. Many of our patients prefer metal braces because it allows them to show off their personality by choosing different colored elastic bands. This is an especially fun feature for young adults and teens who are attending their favorite sports games because they can express their team spirit. To learn more about traditional metal braces, schedule a consultation with one of our board-certified dental professional.

Traditional metal braces are a great choice for both adults and children. Our conventional braces are made of high-grade stainless-steel arch wires and brackets that are strategically placed to gently move your teeth into optimal position. They are an ideal choice for patients with jaw alignment issues, crowded or gapped teeth, under or over-bites, and protruding smiles. We also use top-quality elastics that are simple to apply and don't break easily. During your consultation, we will discuss your orthodontic treatment options and help you select the method that fits your needs and goals.

Very cute clean modern set up. The service was great actually, everyone is very professional which I like. The wait time isn't bad, just fill out your forms online to make things move a little quicker. I'm looking to try one of the cosmetic treatments after I get my braces removed. Overall, great experience!

After going to place to place to look for a dentist office I would enjoy going to I landed right here at Mint Dentistry! Dr. M and Bri both are amazing and gentle. I went to other dentist offices and was told I had holes in my teeth and needed crowns and was quoted $1600+. Wanted a second opinion came here and was told I didn’t have holes and I just needed slight fillings. I also called around to every orthopedist and dentist office trying to get braces glue off my teeth and nobody would take me. Oh but Mint Dentistry did! They are super affordable and always have availability. I am now and will always come to this location for anything. A lot of people don’t like the dentist due to pain etc . But they are well worth it! You won’t regret it!

After your initial exam, a personalized treatment plan will be developed by a MINT dentistry professional for your specific needs. On the day of your appointment, you will be asked to settle into one of our relaxing treatment chairs in one of our well-equipped treatment rooms. After slipping on a set of our Beats headphones and a pair of our MINT sunglasses, your teeth will be prepared and cleaned before we place your metal braces. Once we have applied the bonding agent to your teeth, your metal brackets will be carefully placed. Once the brackets are all in place and set, we will thread the arch wires through. You will then be able to choose your desired elastic band color(s). The tiny bands keep the arch wires attached to the metal brackets. Typically, the application process moves fairly quickly and patients often experience no pain. You will need to return to our office about once a month for adjustments and progress exams.

Metal braces can make cleaning and flossing your teeth more challenging. However, proper oral hygiene is essential to your orthodontic treatment. Before you leave our office with your new braces, our team will educate you on how to best clean your teeth and provide you with helpful tips. As a general rule, we recommend that you brush and floss your teeth after every meal. Keeping all your orthodontic appointments and regular dental cleanings will also help to ensure optimal results. Typically, most patients wear braces for 1 – 2 years, but your treatment time will ultimately depend on the severity of your case. After your treatment is over, we will remove the braces from your teeth and fit you for a retainer to help keep your teeth in their new position. A MINT dentistry professional will help you select the right retainer for your new smile.
