The staff at the Galveston office have renewed my faith in dentists. They listen!!! I needed two crowns and a night bite guard for my grinding. When I started the process I was in constant facial and tooth pain from grinding my teeth. After getting the night guard, my face and tooth pain were 80% better the next day. I needed to have the guard slightly adjusted to achieve total comfort and was able to get that done the day I called. I don't live in Galveston-just visiting, but I'm going to schedule my dental work for when I'm in the area and make them my go-to dental office.

I needed a new dentist and kept hearing the radio commercial about Mint Dentistry, so I decided to try. My k9 broke 😔 I just knew it was going to cost a fortunate. In the past, dentist office staff would said how great my dental insurance was right before they'd hand me a bill for $700+ for only crown work (twice)! So I expected the same this time with Mint. Dentist told me I need a root canal and crown. I was shocked when I saw a bill 60% LESS than previous dental practice. Plus, Mint is doing root canal work too. Their prices show they stand for Patient Dental Health First! They also offer a payment plan 😁, I've ALWAYS had to pay what insurance didn't that day. Mint Dentistry has a less than 24 hr cancelation fee of $50, my old dentist charged $125. I'll update after my procedure. 🤞🏼 Thankful! My root canal was completed in one sitting, not two separate appointments. Dr. Bengone is FANTASTIC! She took her time with my root canal and made sure my temporary crown was perfect. Mint Dentistry has high tech equipment, affordable prices and amazing staff! 💚

During your consultation, one of MINT’s dental professionals will take impressions of your teeth so your crown can be custom made. If needed, a temporary crown can be placed over your tooth while your custom crown is in production. Once your crown is ready, our support staff will schedule an appointment for placement. After settling into one of our luxurious treatment chairs, you will be offered a pair of Beats headphones and MINT sunglasses to help you feel at ease during your procedure. Next, the area to be treated will be numbed with a local anesthetic. Other sedation options may be available to help you feel more comfortable during the procedure if you have any fears or anxieties. Once you are ready, a skilled dentist will prepare the tooth by removing any areas of decay, then filing down the tooth to make room for the crown so it will fit snugly. The crown will be cemented onto the tooth or attached to the dental implant. After the crown is set, we will adjust the fit of the crown, so your bite is correct.
Treatment Aftercare
If only local anesthesia is used, you should be able to leave once your crown is placed, to continue your daily activities. A member of our team will go over the best way to care for your new crown, including foods to avoid and the best way to keep it clean. During your exams at MINT dentistry, a skilled dental professional will assess your crown and adjust the fit as needed so it remains comfortable. We will let you know when the crown needs to be replaced, but with proper care, a crown should last for many years. If you experience any problems with your crown (for example, it becomes loose or falls out), contact our office for help. Do not try to fix it or put it back in yourself since this can lead to a bad fit or infection. We highly recommend all patients come back for a bite adjustment after getting a crown to ensure the bite is perfect. Bite complications are almost unavoidable because the patient’s mouth is numb but are easily fixed. Just call MINT.
